orange paper covered ranger diary of S. Waters held together by two staples in middle. "Sunbeam" on the front cover design. On the back there is a white tag which has hand written text in black and red that reads: "1893 Steve Waters diary of first yr. in park, this is to be given to archives in exchange for copies". Yellowed/lined pages inside with hand written notes, all pages have been transcribed (typed out), and copies reside in people of note file for Stephen James Waters (L-3-Diaries-#2).

S. Waters Ranger Diary. "The Canadian Pocket Diary" 1908 Published by The Brown Bros. Limited manufacturing stationers Toronto. It is a small blue hard cover book with gold text on front that reads "Diary", bound together with thread, and has typed information in first few pages (calendar, measurement, currency, etc.). Following pages have hand written notes on lined pages. Notes have been transcribed (typed out), and copies reside in people of note file for Stephen Waters (L-3-Diaries-#2).

S. Waters ranger diary. "Miles Combination Diary memorandum & compedium of useful info", 1912 new census edition, E.E. Miles, Publisher, South Lancaster, Mass, U.S.A. Small black book with gold text angled on upper right corner that says "1912". The first few pages have typed info., after that hand written notes are recorded on lined paper with dates separated by pink line. Inside back and front cover there is a purple/green floral pattern. All notes have been transcribed (typed out), and reside in people of note file for Stephen Waters (L-3-Diaries-#2).

One green hard cover, book style map that folds out, inside of front cover of book has hand written note in red ink that reads: "Algonquin Park A.J. Becker Ranger", and in blue ink: "Rochefort P.O. Ontario 1905". August John Becker was a former park ranger (1907-1913). Hand written notes on map that show the "beats" (paths?) of the rangers. Map has black text and lines, and lakes are filled in green colour. When closed as a book measurements are: 2cm X 22.7cm X 15cm.

Silver ranger badge, in pear crest shape engraved on front "Algonquin Park, Ranger". "Province of Ontario" engraved in middle on ribbon going through crest with 3 maple leaves. Pin fastener on back that goes from top to bottom.

Wooden snowshoe with pretty wide base, brown leather strap (tanned) near where foot would rest, with metal buckle. Lighter leather lacing throughout (un-tanned), small length of rope near brown leather strap. 2 nails in bottom to hold wooden frame together.

Wooden snowshoe with pretty wide base. Thicker brown, and beige tanned leather straps where foot wold rest. Lighter leather lacing throughout (un-tanned) and a small length of rope near the brown leather strap. 2 nails in bottom to hold wooden frame together, metal wire wrapped around wood at top of snowshoe.

Silver and gold round pocket watch, face has white background with roman numerals and black hands to tell time. Four smaller faces are also on front (one tells month, another day of week, another number of month). Last face has blue background and gold moon/starts, numbers on it read (10*20*30*40*...60). There is a tiny gold ring at the top. Originally came in natural wood/plastic display case (case not kept/or accepted).

Black leather case for sheath knife (1998.8.4.1), that is bound together with brown leather sting on one side. It has 14 holes punched into top (design), and has small black handled attached near top over lacing.
